Darian Poinsetta: President and Chief Executive Officer
Darian is Broadsword’s President and CEO, and is a Certified CMMI Lead Appraiser. He joined Broadsword after a 20 year career as Vice President of Program Operations at The Olofson Group and in senior level consulting positions at Ernst & Young, eLoyalty, Intellicorp, and Black & Veatch. Darian’s expertise includes program management, portfolio management, business process transformation, solutions design, systems integration, benefit realization, and health plan operations. In addition to performing CMMI Appraisals and teaching our “Agile Scrum Learning Experience,” Darian is a PMP, Scrum Master, and Broadsword’s Business Development Capability Maturity Model (BD-CMM) expert. Darian lives in Bradenton, FL.
Jeff Dalton: Chairman and Chief Development Officer
Jeff is Broadsword’s Chairman and Chief Development Officer, and is a Certified Lead Appraiser, CMMI Instructor, Certified APH Assessor, and author of Great Big Agile: an OS for Agile Leaders. He is principle author of the ISACA’s “Guide to Scrum and CMMI: Improving Agile Performance with CMMI” and is a sought after keynote speaker and author whose career spans over three decades in the technology industry. He has served as Chairman of the CMMI Institute’s Partner Advisory Board for three non-consecutive terms, and holds the designation of “Chief Evangelist” from AgileCxO.org. He is currently serving a six-year term and is Chairman Emeritus of the CMMC Accreditation Body. Jeff is a jazz bassist who lives in Key West with his family playing music when he isn’t helping clients improve performance.
Laura Adkins: Senior Consultant
Laura is a ScrumMaster, Scrum Product Owner, PMP, and CMMI coach who specializes AgileCMMI and process pilot testing. She also applied her experience and degree in finance and account to managing Broadsword finances. She served as a consultant for Electronic Data Systems and Hewlett-Packard in the automotive industry before joining Broadsword as a Senior Consultant in 2009. She focuses on the IT, Health Care, and Defense, and lives in Detroit, MI.
Cathy Henderson: Senior Consultant
Cathy has been a Senior Consultant with Broadsword since 2007 and is a ScrumMaster, PMP, and CMMI process improvement specialist. She specializes in AgileCMMI, Process Quality Assurance and Value-based Measurement, and her experience includes over twenty-five years in the automotive and aerospace industries with companies like EDS, Keane, Inc. and General Motors. Cathy has planned and participated in dozens of SCAMPI Appraisals and lives in Detroit, MI.
Patricia S. Dalton: Director of Business Operations
Patricia manages our back-office, contracts, invoicing, and operations, working with clients as well as new Broadsword team members to assure a smooth on-boarding experience. She also manages Broadsword’s charitable giving and community involvement program. She comes to Broadsword after a decade of managing large-scale teams delivering document management services in the legal services industry.
Jacob Dalton, Social Media Manager
Jacob is Broadsword’s Social Media and Marketing Manager. He specializes in video marketing and high quality cinematography. He is a screenwriter and producer in Hollywood, CA and is a partner in a Production Company called “Hot Lunch Productions” at https://www.hotlunchproductions.com.
